Bill Fleischman is a veteran auto racing writer for the Philadelphia Daily News.
Among the races he has covered are the Daytona 500, the Indianapolis 500 and the first Formula One race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. He is the co-author, with Al Pearce, of “The Unauthorized NASCAR Fan Guide.”
Fleischman covered the Philadelphia Flyers when they won their only Stanley Cups in the 1970s. He is a former president of the Professional Hockey Writers Association and the Philadelphia Sports Writers Association.
A graduate of Gettysburg College, Fleischman is a longtime adjunct professor in the University of Delaware’s journalism program. He and his wife, Barbara, live in Wilmington, Del.
