A few random observations from a long day at Talladega Superspeedway:
* Brad Keselowski is becoming more likable by the day. He’s a straight shooter who says what he thinks even when he’s involved in controversy, which is something a lot of other drivers don’t always do.
You always get the feeling […]

From the Monday Morning Crew Chief:
Talladega, Al. – You can take away Air Talladega by subtracting the rear wings, but Err Talladega lives on.

Talladega, Ala. – Just when it looked as if racing at Talladega Superspeedway could be done with a relative amount of safety, the Aaron’s 312 Nationwide Series night-cap race ended with a violent crash that saw Dennis Setzer’s Dodge sail into the catchfence and Brad Keselowski, who knows a thing […]

Talladega, Ala. – NASCAR’s undoing of some of its newer rules seemed to be just the cure as Sunday’s Aaron’s 499 at Talladega Superspeedway turned out to be the kind of race NASCAR fans had come to expect at the giant Alabama track.
A good bit of the push for the […]

They say that at Talladega Superspeedway, the yellow line at the bottom of the track can be a driver’s best friend.
Apparently, Jamie McMurray never heard them say that.
McMurray, leading the race on the final green-white-checkered restart Sunday at Talladega, gave up the bottom of the track to Kevin Harvick as they streaked toward the checkered […]

It’s not true that there will be an FAA representative in the race control booth at Talladega today. NASCAR will first see what happens with spoilers replacing wings on the back of the Sprint Cup cars before bringing in air traffic control.
NASCAR officials, many drivers and several crew chiefs said this week that they feel […]

Does it ever rain in Hell? On days like these, one wonders. Then again, maybe I’m just under the weather.
There was a time when a rainout such as Saturday’s washout at Talladega was an opportunity for writers to hang out in the garage with participants in what is now the […]

Let’s see if I’ve got this straight:
If Kasey Kahne has to choose between driving for Richard Petty Motorsports or nobody next season, he’ll choose nobody?
That’s what Kasey said when he announced plans to leave RPM at the end of this season: he doesn’t know where he’ll be next season.
Of course […]
