Danica Patrick made history on Sunday by becoming the first woman to win a pole in the Sprint Cup Series. And that pole will be for NASCAR’s biggest race – next Sunday’s Daytona 500.
Patrick’s fast lap was at 196.434 mph. Her lap around the 2.5-mile Daytona International Speedway oval took 45.817 seconds.

Richard Childress Racing’s Kevin Harvick won Saturday night’s The Sprint Unlimited at Daytona International Speedway.
On the last lap, Harvick blocked both Greg Biffle and Tony Stewart to win his third career Sprint Unlimited, which was formerly known as the Budweiser Shootout. Harvick’s previous wins came in 2009 and 2010.
