The 3 belongs to Richard. It was his when Earnhardt was in the 2 and the 15. Like it or not Austin Dillan deserves that number. Just like JR should have the 8. Besides the fact that its really "just a number" and it actually belongs to Nascar. Lets debate why they didnt retire the 28 after Davey or the 51 after Neil...Its just not done thats why.I am a Police officer and I know that if I were to be killed in the line of duty that with in 1 month someone else would be driving my patrol car and using my badge number. I miss Dale and the black 3 Goodwrench car too but he aint coming back. Time to pick up the pieces and move on. Besides,Dale would think we were all a bunch of idiots for acting like that over a car number.

Oh that's right, Richard Childress made the number 3 famous. Phooey. Someone, somewhere also wore the number 23 before Michael Jordan. Just as 23 is known for Michael, the number 3 belongs to Dale. No matter how hard he may try, Childress can never remove the aura of Dale Sr. from the number 3. Jr. should be using it now, just out of respect for his father.

Here’s a refreshing contest! If you have been dying to tell the world your favorite moment of Hendrick Motorsports 25 years of triumphs… then Pepsi has something for you! Record yourself congratulating Hendrick Motorsports on what stood out to you the most in 25 years of racing and it could be shown to the world during the premier of , “Together: The Hendrick Motorsports story.” http://www.refresheverything.com/hendrick is the home of the movie trailer. Also be sure to watch the movie OCT 11 only on ABC. Start your digital cameras!
