Vickers Collects Nationwide Pole

Brian Vickers is pole perfect at Michigan International Speedway this weekend.

On Saturday morning, Vickers won the pole for the Nationwide series race which will be run later in the afternoon.

That pole victory came a day after Vickers won the pole for Sunday’s Sprint Cup race at MIS in his Red Bull Racing Toyota Camry.

Trevor Bayne was second fastest in Nationwide qualifying and series points leader Kyle Busch was third.

Carl Edwards, the driver closest to Busch in points, qualified seventh fastest.

The Nationwide race is scheduled to begin at 3:30 EDT.
