Ron Hornaday Jr. wins again.

Ron Hornaday Jr. won his second Camping World Truck Series race in a row Saturday, beating Brian Scott to the finish line by .68 seconds at Memphis Motorsports Park.

The victory in the MemphisTravel.com 200 was also Hornaday’s second  in a row at the Memphis oval and third overall there.

David Starr finished third.

As the laps wound down, it appeared that the victory would be an easy one for Hornaday, who led the most laps and had the dominant truck all day. With six laps to go, he had a 2.5-second lead over Scott.

But with five to go, a wreck brought out a caution and his big lead was gone.

But when the green waved again, Hornaday easily was able to hold off Scott and Starr.

The race was ran in temperatures which hovered around 100 degrees.

Rick Ren, the crew chief for Hornaday’s Kevin Harvick Racing Chevy, said the heat forced him into a thinking mode before the race.

“It looks like we guessed the right way,” Ren said.

Hornaday pushed his points lead to 36 over Matt Crafton last weekend at the Milwaukee Mile. He increased it to 76 in Memphis.

Crafton finished fifth on Saturday.
