Reutimann Starts Cup Race From The Pole
A week to ponder his first-ever Sprint Cup victory did nothing to cool off David Reutimann.
Friday afternoon, Reutimann, who won last weekend’s Coca-Cola 600 at Lowe’s Motor Speedway, won the pole for this weekend’s Autism Speaks 400 at Dover International Speedway.
Reutimann ran a lap at 156.794 mph in the qualifying session. That was two-tenths of an mph faster than the lap of Kasey Kahne, who will start second in the race.
Juan Pablo Montoya was third-fastest in the session, Reed Sorenson was fourth and Greg Biffle was fifth.
Kyle Busch was sixth.
