Brittany Force plans to “unleash the beast” that is her NHRA Top Fuel dragster at Atlanta Dragway this weekend, the launch  of a multi-year primary sponsorship deal with Monster Energy drink.

Force’s Top Fuel dragster will carry the Monster Energy logo and branding for the duration of the 2015 NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series season as part of a three-year deal announced Wednesday by John Force Racing in Atlanta.

“I have to say how beyond excited I am to be teamed-up with Monster,” said Brittany Force, youngest of team-owner/16-time Funny Car world champion John Force’s three daughters.  “My sister (Courtney) and I have been chasing Monster for a while.  To see it all actually happening, it’s pretty surreal.

“Monster’s all about living life on the edge.  I think our sport ties in perfectly to that because there’s nothing more extreme than driving a Top Fuel dragster.  You’re racing down the track 330 miles per hour.  I don’t think there’s anything more extreme than that.  I honestly think we are really a perfect fit. The awesome part is I get to do what I love, and Monster’s going to support me the entire way. It’s a relief now to know that we’ll be stepping into Atlanta to unleash the beast.”

Force is scheduled to unveil the Monster livery Friday, the opening day of time trials for the 35th annual Summit Equipment NHRA Southern Nationals in Commerce, Ga. Brittany won the NHRA’s 2013 Auto Club Road to the Future Award as the series’ top rookie. She has raced to four final rounds and three No. 1 qualifiers in pursuit of her first career national event victory.

Mitch Covington, Monster’s vice president of sports marketing, noted the sponsorship extends beyond Brittany’s team. “We’ll have some branding on all of John Force Racing,” said Covington, referring to the Funny Cars driven by “Brut” Force, 2009 NHRA world champion Robert Hight and Courtney Force.

“We’re getting the whole team,” Covington said. “We’re joining the family or they’re joining ours.  We’re going racing. You can’t even mention drag racing without including John Force and John Force Racing. Their winning dominance and high-performance heritage are simply unmatchable. John is a personality that actually transcends the sport and his daughter Brittany is every bit the fierce competitor as her dad _ and she’s a lot prettier than John.”

John Force said landing Brittany’s sponsorship was critical to a revamped lineup of financial backers which now features Peak Anti-Freeze and Coolant, Lucas Oil and Chevrolet along with holdover partners Auto Club, Traxxas and Mac Tools.

“As a team-owner you want to have as much financial backing as possible to go after championships, and as a father you want to give your kids everything they need to succeed,” said Force, JFR’s CEO. “This new sponsorship with Monster accomplishes both of those goals.”
