Helio Castroneves finished off an all-Penske weekend in Detroit by winning Sunday’s IndyCar Series race at the Belle Isle road course.

Castroneves’ victory comes one day after Team Penske teammate Will Power won the first race of the Detroit weekend double header.

That double header is promoted by team owner Roger Penske, who calls Detroit his home town.

Finishing second on Sunday was Power.

“Unless he made a mistake, I wasn’t going to go for” the lead, Power said of his late-race strategy against Castroneves.

The victory for Castroneves comes one week after he finished second in the Indianapolis 500.

Charlie Kimball of Chip Ganassi Racing finished third Sunday, giving him his first podium finish of the season.

Kimball’s teammate, Scott Dixon, finished fourth.

Fifth was James Hinchcliffe of Andretti Autosport.

Power left Detroit and heads to Fort Worth for the next event on the schedule as the new points leader.

Ryan Hunter-Reay, who was the points leader before the Detroit weekend and who also edged Castroneves to win the Indy 500, had a rough weekend. He had problems in both races and suffered a couple of crashing during the weekend. As a result, he dropped to third in points. Castroneves moved to second in the standings.
