Kevin Harvick pulled away to an easy victory after taking the lead during a late restart in Saturday night’s Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway,

The victory was the second of the season for the Richard Childress Racing driver.

Kasey Kahne finished second and Kurt Busch was third. Denny Hamlin finished fourth and Joey Logano was fifth.

Rounding out the top 10 were Ryan Newman, Tony Stewart, Clint Bowyer, Martin Truex Jr. and Marcos Ambrose.

Kahne, driving for Hendrick Motorsports, appeared to have a great shot at winning as he held a fairly comfortable lead in the closing laps. But with abuut 15 laps to go, a caution flag waved.

On the restart, Harvick, who pitted for two tires during the caution, passed Kahne, who did not pit and take tires, for the lead.

The race was interrupted by two red flags, one of which came out after a cable supporint Fox Sports’ aerial camera broke.

The broken cable injured several fans and damaged several race cars, including that of Kyle Busch, who was leading the race at the time.
