Forget the stands for now, do something to the effin' track so that they don't have to race in a wad all the time!! Funny.....there's also a two and a half mile track in Indianapolis and they don't race in a wad there!! Hmmm!! Knock down those high banks. Or, better yet, build a competitive mile or mile and a half track in front of those grandstands. It's not 1963 anymore!! Looks to me like it’s the track that’s in dire need of something different! Although I live in the U.K. I have been over to see some NASCAR races, and although not Daytona, I have been to Talladega and was frankly frightened at how close the cars were, given they were all travelling in one huge draft, until the inevitable accident. Motor racing is dangerous, at is says on the back of the ticket, but these older racetracks simply have to upgrade or close. Given the potentially tragic events at Daytona, looks like a major safety overhaul of this racetrack is well overdue.
