Langdon Wins Top Fuel At Pomona

Shawn Langdon (Top Fuel), Courtney Force (Funny Car), and Vincent Nobile (Pro Stock) collected victories at the Mello Yello Drag Racing Series season-opening O’Reilly Auto Parts NHRA Winternationals presented by Super Start Batteries at Auto Club Raceway at Pomona.

Langdon beat Tony Schumacher in the finals. Langdon’s margin of victory was 0.0576 seconds (approximately 27 feet).

Force beat Ron Capps in the final after Capps smoked his tires.

Nobile won when Jeg Coughlin red lit in the finals.

Racing was delay at Pomona after defending Top Fuel champion Antron Brown’s car exploded in the second round during a run against Dave Grubnic.
