ECR Engine Gets Victory

An engine built by Earnhardt-Childress Racing got is first victory in a series other than NASCAR on March 8 when it won in the GT1 field of the 31st annual Tom Nehl National hosted by the Sports Car Club of America’s Buccaneer Region at Roebling Road Raceway near Savannah, Ga.

Terry Giles drove the victorious ECR-powered Corvette C6 in the race. The car started from the pole and led every lap.

“ECR gave us incredible horsepower and torque,” Giles said after the race. “The car was amazing.”
