The Heluva Good! Sour Cream Dips NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Watkins Glen International was postpone because of wet weather on Sunday.

The race was rescheduled to Monday at 10 a.m. Eastern. It will be televised by ESPN.

The race never got started so the starting order will remain the same with Kyle Busch of Joe Gibbs Racing on the pole. Next to him will be A.J. Allmendinger in a Richard Petty Motorsports Ford.

The rain began right after driver introductions.

NASCAR officials announced the race would be rescheduled about three hours after the scheduled start of the race, which was to be at about 1:15 p.m.

“It doesn’t bother me,” Allmendinger said while waiting for NASCAR to make a decision. “Of course, you’d like to be racing right now but this is part of it and this is the way it works.  There have been times where it rained and because of that I didn’t get a chance to race or qualify, so I know we’ve got a fast race car and when we drop the green we’ll be there.”
