Kevin Harvick won Sunday’s rain-delayed Camping World Truck Series race at Pocono Raceway.

Harvick saved just enough fuel to make it through a green-white-checkered-flag finish in the Good Sam RV Emergency Road Service 125.

The victory was Harvick’s first in a truck in three starts in the series, but it is the 10th of his career.

Kyle Busch finished second, James Buescher third and points leader Johnny Sauter fourth. Fifth was Austin Dillon.

“Certainly it was a good run for us,” Busch said. “We unloaded here Friday and felt like we were pretty decent off the truck, but definitely somewhat off the 2 (Kevin Harvick) truck.  He was stellar and far superior to anyone else yesterday and today.  So, we just tried to minimize our losses and come out of here with the best finish we could.  Fortunately, we got back up there to second.  A few of those cautions helped us and kind of bunched the field back up and got us to where we could make some moves on the restarts and that seemed to be the pivotal turning point to the race on most of these guys.  Fun racing the trucks here.  It’s certainly entertaining for us behind the wheel.  It’s real rough and you’re bouncing all over trying to hold onto it and all of that.”

Rain hit Pocono on Lap 17 on Saturday. The race restarted on lap 18 early Sunday morning.

Geez for a few weeks there the Truck series was almost unmolested by top tier invaders picking on the little guys. Harvick jumped in and brought us back to reality I guess.

These NASCAR race names keep getting longer. Reminds me of the Larry the Cable Guy NASCAR race description as seen on “Blue Collar Comedy”.
