Sadler Fastest NNS Qualifier at Iowa

Newton, Iowa – Elliott Sadler won the pole for Saturday night’s U.S. Cellular 250 Nationwide Series race on Saturday afternoon by turning a lap at 132.386 mph.

The pole was the third of the season for Sadler – who will start the race third in points – and the Kevin Harvick Inc. No. 2 car.

Second fastest in qualifying was Trevor Bayne of Roush Fenway Racing.

Third was Sam Hornish Jr. of Penske Racing. Hornish is taking the seat of Brad Keselowski, who was injured during a practice wreck earlier in the week at Road Atlanta.

Fourth was Roush Fenway’s Ricky Stenhouse Jr., the series points leader.

Fifth was Drew Herring in the the No. Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota.

Rounding out the top 10 were Justin Allgaier, Jason Leffler, Kenny Wallace, Michael McDowell and Brian Scott.

The race is scheduled to begin at about 7:45 Eastern.
