He was one of the few independent minded writers on the controversial world of stock car racing. David was not intimidated by the "Bosses in the Box" who run the "Show",and would tell it like it was,not always like Nascar spin masters wanted. Since most of the media are Nascar lap dogs spewing nearly identical dogma,David's perspectives were often a refreshing breath of fresh air to help the fans see the other side of the issue. Then they could make up their minds with more ideas,opinions, and facts. That's why David Poole will sadly missed in the world or Nascar racing. To David Poole's family and many friends--Our prayers go out to you. David will never be replaced by anyone with more talent,knowledge,respect,and dedication.
