Ricky Stenhouse Jr. held off Carl Edwards to win the John Deere Dealers 250 NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Iowa Speedway on Sunday afternoon.

The victory comes in the Roush Fenway Racing driver’s 51st start in the series.

Edwards led after a restart for a caution with 22 laps to go in the 250-lap race. But on Lap 232, Stenhouse made the winning pass.

Edwards finished second and Keselowski third.

After Edwards, who won Saturday night’s Sprint All-Star Race in Charlotte, was another Sprint Cup regular, Brad Keselowski.

“Our car was good, but not great,” Keselowski said. “The two Fords (of Stenhouse and Edwards) were really fast today and we just didn’t have enough at the end to make a run at them.  A strong day for our race team and I’m happy for Ricky (Stenhouse Jr.) to get the win.  He’s a class act and has worked his tail off to enjoy this win.

Reed Sorenson was fourth and Elliott Sadler was fifth.

Rounding out the top 10 were Kenny Wallace, Michael McDowell, Justin Allgaier, James Buescher and Austin Dillon
