Top five with less than 40 to go is Dixon, Helio, Kanaan, Briscoe and Danica.
Franchitti slams the wall trying to avoid Graham Rahal as the two tried to enter the pits. Rahal was slowed down ahead of Franchitti, but Franchitti didn’t slow down quick enough and smoked the tires and slammed the wall in turn 3.
Briscoe still leads with Dixon second and Helio third on lap 134.
Ryan Briscoe has the lead now. I apologize for my inattentiveness, a flying Carl Edwards had my attention for a bit.
Wow
Matos hits the wall. Caution #2
The field is very strung out right now as Dixon still leads with Kanaan second and Briscoe third. Helio is already up to fifth so if there is a caution or two to bunch the field up he’s got a chance to win this thing.
Pit stops are underway.
Justin Wilson is the first to make a green flag stop
Kanaan makes the move past Rahal for second and Ryan Briscoe sits behind Rahal in fourth.
Helio already up to 10th with the new nosejob
Carl Edwards got some rear end damage in that big wreck and hasn’t really been a factor all race.
Dixon still leads after the restart with Rahal second and Kanaan third.
Everyone hits pit road and a tire flies out from Doornbos’s pit and hits the right rear tire of Graham Rahal.
One of Helio’s wings almost whacked EJ Viso in the head.
Vitor hits the wall on lap 17.
Caution #1.
Apparently Castroneves hit him and lost the nose piece. As long as he doesn’t have any suspension damage, he should be ok
Dixon gets by Rahal at the start finish line.
Mario Moraes in fourth. This is going to be the first real test for the former Champ car teams today now that they’ve had a year to work on their stuff.
VS is already freaking out about the rain. I think we’re going to get this whole race in. The rain is moving north more than it is moving east.

Not getting the casino theme for the VS. announcers for their picks (gambling!) and they for the most part went with Doornbos as the best non-winner finish.
I think that this is a Ganassi day and that Scott Dixon may very well break the two race bad luck streak and win here.
I wouldn’t count out Danica either, but I don’t know if she has a good enough car to win.
