ncwts150Kansas Speedway’s O’Reilly Auto Parts 250 has been suspended due to rain until Monday, April 27.

The rain, accompanied by lightening and reports of a tornado moving toward the speedway and located just five miles away, struck 52 laps into the race.

More rain is expected for Sunday and the track also has Firestone Indy Lights and IndyCar Series races scheduled for that day.

There is also a strong possibility for rain on Monday.

Mike Skinner was leading the race when it was suspeneded.

Behind Skinner were Brian Ickler, Matt Crafton, Ron Hornaday Jr. and Brian Scott.

When racing does resume, a new points leader will likely emerge as Kyle Busch is not racing in Kansas this weekend.
