Edwards Wins Richmond NNS Pole

Carl Edwards won the pole for Friday night’s Bubba Burger 250 Nationwide Series race at Richmond International Raceway on Friday afternoon.

Edwards’ pole-winning lap was at 125.046 mph.  It is his fourth pole of the season.

Edwards, in a Roush Fenway Racing Ford, has two victories in the series this season. He has 31 victories in his NNS career.

Second fastest was Sam Hornish Jr. Hornish, driving a Penske Racing Dodege, had a lap 124.844 mph.

Brian Scott was third fastest. Scott, driving a Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota, had a lap at 124.786 mph.

Aric Almirola was fourth fastest while Justin Allgaier, the series points leader, was fifth and Paul Menard sixth.

Kenny Wallace was seventh while Kelly Bires, Ricky Stenhouse Jr., and Brad Keselowski rounded out the top 10.
