Sadler Leads NNS Qualifying

Elliott Sadler won the pole for Saturday’s Nationwide Series race at Talladega Superspeedway on Friday afternoon.

Driving a Kevin Harvick Inc. Chevrolet, Sadler’s fast lap in qualifying for the Aaron’s 312 was at 170.558 mph.

Second fastest was Clint Bowyer in a Richard Childress Racing Chey. Bowyer laid down a fast lap at 179.373 mph.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. was third fastest and Jamie McMurray was fourth.

Daytona 500 winner Trevor Bayne was fifth.

Rounding out the top 10 were Carl Edwards, Joey Logano, Michael Annett, Jason Leffler and Aric Almirola.

Defending series champion Brad Keselowski qualified 16th.

In all, 43 cars made qualifying runs so all made the field.
