Talladega, Ala. – April promises to be a busy month for racing fans in Alabama. Both the IZOD IndyCar Series and NASCAR are scheduled to make stops in-state, with only one week and 30 miles separating the events. And $99 will buy admission to all the action.

The $99 Speed Week package, created by Talladega Superspeedway and Barber Motorsports Park, offers fans access to six days of racing during the April 8-10 Honda Indy Grand Prix of Alabama presented by Legacy Credit Union at Barber Motorsports Park and the April 15-17 Aaron’s Dream Weekend at Talladega.

“We are excited to once again partner with Barber Motorsports Park to welcome both IndyCar and NASCAR fans to the great state of Alabama,” said Grant Lynch, Talladega Superspeedway chairman. “The $99 Speed Week package is a great value for race fans and we look forward to a strong turnout at both events.”

The Honda Indy Grand Prix of Alabama presented by Legacy Credit Union will feature both open-wheel and sports car racing during the April 8-10 event. Five qualifying rounds and five races are scheduled on the 2.38-mile, 17-turn road-course for a lineup featuring the IZOD IndyCar Series, Firestone Indy Lights, Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series, Continental Tire Sports Car Series and the Mazda Road to Indy Series.

“You have to love being a motorsports fan in the State of Alabama,” said Gene Hallman, president of ZOOM Motorsports, event promoter of Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham. “This $99 package makes it possible to see the best of what both premier facilities have to offer at a very affordable price, with race weekends just one week apart.”

The Aaron’s Dream Weekend on the high-banked, 2.66-mile Talladega layout features qualifying for the NASCAR Nationwide Series, followed by the ARCA Racing Series 250 on Friday, April 15. On Saturday, April 16, fans will see qualifying for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, followed by the Aaron’s 312 Nationwide Series race. NASCAR’s top drivers face-off in the Aaron’s 499 Sprint Cup Series race on Sunday, April 17.
