Sauter On Camping World Pole At Martinsville

Johnny Sauter on Saturday morning won the pole for Saturday afternoon’s Kroger 250 Camping World Truck Series race at Martinsville Speedway.

Sauter posted a lap at 95.463 mph to get the pole in his Chevrolet truck.

Second fastest was Cole Whitt. He had a lap at 94.913 mph in his Red Bull-sponsored Chevy.

Sprint Cup regular Kevin Harvick was third fastest in the session, while Camping World full-timer Austin Dillon was fourth.

Kyle Busch was fifth fast and James Buescher sixth.

Rounding out the top 10 were Matt Crafton, Justin Lofton, Nelson Piquet Jr. and 2009 champion, Ron Hornaday Jr.

Defending champion Todd Bodine was 15th.

The race is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. EDT.

In a rare scheduling happening, the Sprint Cup cars are scheduled to qualify for their Sunday race at Martinsville on Saturday.
