Edwards On NNS Pole in Las Vegas

Carl Edwards won the pole for Saturday’s Sam’s Town 300 Nationwide Series race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Edwards posted a lap at 181.824 mph in qualifying Saturday morning in his Roush Fenway Racing Ford.

Kyle Busch, the winner of last weekend’s NNS race at Las Vegas, was second fastest in a Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota.

Third was Ricky Stenhouse Jr. in a Roush car.

Kevin Harvick was fourth, Mark Martin was fifth.

Filling out the top 10 were Elliott Sadler, Trevor Bayne, Reed Sorenson, Denny Hamlin and Justin Allgaier.

Brad Keselowski, last year’s series champion, was 11th.

Danica Patrick qualified 22nd.
