Bowyer On NNS Pole; Danica Fourth

Clint Bowyer won the pole of Saturday’s Drive4COPD 300 Nationwide Series race at Daytona International Speedway Friday.

Bowyer, the 2008 Nationwide champion, posted a lap of 180.821 mph in his Richard Childress Racing Chevrolet.

Landon Cassill was second fastest  with a lap of 180.600 mph and will start next to Bowyer on the front row Saturday in his Phoenix Racing Chevrolet.

Third was Dale Earnhardt Jr. with a lap at 180.592 mph.

Fourth fastest was Danica Patrick, driving a Chevrolet owned by Earnhardt, JR Motorsports. Patrick had the pole until Cassill toppled her late in the session.

Justin Allgaier was fifth fastest and Joey Logano sixth.

Kyle Busch, who won a series best 13 races last year in the Nationwide Series, was eight and defending series champion Brad Keselowski was 12th.
