Brad Keselowski passed Mike Bliss for the lead at the whitle flag and went on to win the 5-Hour Energy 250 Nationwide Series race at Gateway International Raceway on Saturday afternoon.

The victory was the sixth of the season for Keselowski, who is the series’ points leader.

Bliss, driving a Kevin Harvick Inc. car, was second – it was his best finish of the season.

Justin Allgaier, Keselowski’s teammate at Penske Racing, was third.

Jason Leffler was fourth and Carl Edwards was fifth.

It was the final race to be held at Gateway, which is located in Illinois across the Mississippi River from St. Louis.

Allgaier appeared to be headed for the victory after he passed Keselowski for the lead with 26 laps to go.

But a late crash brought out a caution and it was decision time.

Both Penske cars stopped for four tires. Keselowski restarted sixth and Allgaier seventh behind Reed Sorenson, who took the lead during the pit stops.

Keselowski made his way to the front after the restart with four laps to go and got the win.

He increased his points lead to 485 points over Edwards with three races left in the season.
