Joe Gibbs Racing took ownership of the front row for Saturday afternoon’s Kansas Lottery 300 Nationwide Series race at Kansas Speedway as it two drivers qualified first and second fastest on Saturday morning.

Joey Logano put his JGR Toyota on the pole with a speed of 173.645 mph, and teammate Kyle Busch was second at 173.277.

The pole is Logano’s second in a row as he was started last weekend’s race at Pocono P1. It is his sixth pole of the season.

Busch owns a series-record 11 victories this year, his latest coming at Dover, and Logano has won once.

Both of the JGR drivers are part-timers in the series.

Completing the top five were Kevin Harvick, Carl Edwards and Aric Almirola.

Series point leader Brad Keselowski qualified eighth.

The race is scheduled to start at 3:45 p.m. Eastern.
