Marcos Ambrose made the tough Watkins Glen International road course look easy Saturday as he won the Nationwide Series race.

The victory in the Zippo 200 was the third straight in the series at The Glen for Ambrose.

“Just huge for us,” Ambrose said. “This is really sweet.”

Joey Logano was second and Kevin Harvick was third.

“He’s the man,” Logano said of Ambrose afterward. “I’m happy with the second place.”

Point leader Brad Keselowski was fourth and Kyle Busch, who led 14 laps, was fifth.

Ambrose, who won the pole for the event earlier in the day, led 60 of the 82 laps. His margin of victory was 2.8 seconds.

“It’s just a huge win for us,” Ambrose said. “Frank Kerr (crew chief) has been so good for my career and I have to thank him so much for every opportunity he gets me to victory lane.  Scott Zipadelli helped too this weekend and he’s awesome as well.  What a great day for our guys.  I’m saying goodbye to JTG Daugherty Racing at the end of the year and it’s just nice to get a win for them here today.  I’m hoping I can do it in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race tomorrow, but this feels really sweet right now.”
