Trevor Bayne won the pole for Saturday night’s Nationwide Series race at Gateway International Raceway by posting a qualifying lap at 133.567 mph on Saturday afternoon.

The poll was the first of the season for the 19-year-old Michael Waltrip Racing driver, and the second of his career.

Second fastest in qualifying for the Missouri-Illinois Dodge Dealers 250 was Colin Braun of Roush Fenway Racing. His lap was at 133.349 mph.

Brad Keselowski, the series points leader, was third fastest and Brandan Gaughan was fourth.

The race is scheduled to start a 8 p.m. Eastern.

Paul Menard, one of the full-time Sprint Cup drivers in the race, was fifth.

Carl Edwards, who is second in points – 227 behind Keselowski – will start the race from the eight spot in the field.

Kevin Harvick, who won the power-outage-delayed Camping World Truck Series race earlier in the afternoon at Gateway, qualified 10th.
