Logano On NNS Pole; Danica 36th

Joey Logano won the pole for Saturday afternoon’s Stater Brothers 300 Nationwide Series race at Auto Club Speedway with a lap at 181.282 mph.

It was Logano’s eighth career pole.

Logano’s Joe Gibbs Racing teammate, Kyle Busch, qualified second fastest.

Third was  Brian Scott, who had the best qualifying effort of his Nationwide career, while Carl Edwards was fourth.

Greg Biffle was fifth and John Wes Townley had a career-best sixth-place qualifying run.

Danica Patrick, making her first non-restrictor plate qualifying run, qualified 36th. She was 27th in practice earlier in the day.
