Daytona Beach, Fla. – Daytona International Speedway president Robin Braig saiid Saturday that former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin has requested credentials for the Daytona 500.
Braig said he ran the request by the France family, which controls the speedway and NASCAR, and got the go-ahead to host Palin, who will be in Daytona Beach anyway to speak to the local Chamber of Commerce on the Monday after the 500.
Braig said his security people and Palin’s security team already are working on the logisitics of having her at the race.

Well, at least Ms Palin knows what the heck NASCAR is. And come on Clayton Penny. First it is not “an pit lizard” it would be “a pit lizard”. You can falsely insult the lady as much and as often as you want and it won’t phase her one bit. She was, and is, a breath of fresh air in a very stinking political scene.

Compared to the Iron Dog, I wonder what Todd her husband must think of NASCAR. C’mon, enclosed vehicles in relatively warm weather, compared to open snowmachines at -50 or colder?
Well, given her new position, expect a “are you a NASCAR fan, Sarah?” interview by Fox.
