Have you ever seen Duno drive in the Indy car series? I have. She's a moving obsticle. She's never competitive. She's going to drive stock cars? In Indycar races Danica laps her more often then not. To even imply she might turn faster laps in like prepared cars is hysterical. By the 5th or 6th race she drives, drivers and fans alike will be calling her a hazzard, you watch.

I'm glad to see somebody recognizing Milka Duno and her accomplishments. I think she's got what it takes to wheel a "taxi cab" around the track based on her previous experiences in sports car racing. I enjoyed her remarks about the Queen of Hype. There was Louise Smith, Janet Guthrie, Lyn St James, Tammy Jo Kirk, Shawna Robinson, Patty Moise, and a host of other female drivers on the track long before the Queen of Hype came along. Sarah Fisher gave the Winston West Series a shot before she formed her own IRL race team, which says something about her racing spirit. None of the other female drivers put their bodies on display to garner attention to make up for their lack of driving prowess. The time will come when it'll be either "put up or shut up" for the Queen of Hype. When she's more concerned about her marketing and branding than she is about her driving that should be a big clue to anyone who's followed any form of motorsports for any length of time. Prove me wrong (Go) Daddy's little girl.

It's a shame you didn't mention Duno got her top speed by running a couple of qualifying laps. Patrick was practicing and learning.

Thank you for the article on Ms. Duno. Good to get background information on other female drivers. I wish her luck with her endeavors.

Interesting article! Finally someone wrote about Milkas' extensive sports car experience. She is an educated engineer and a beautiful woman who doesn't need to be in sleazy Go (pimp) Daddy commercials. Best wishes to Milka and Braun Racing in this new challenge.

The funny thing about Milka Duno is that 9 years ago when she was racing in the "Women's Global GT Series" (a single-make production car support series for the ALMS), her series bio at the time listed her birthdate as April 22nd, 1969. Somewhere between then and the few years later when she entered IndyCar, she shaved off 2 years off her listed birthdate!
