Money alone does not equal success. Reports are that Toyota spent somewhere between 1.5 and 2 billion dollars in F1 over 6 or 7 years and never won a race. It's still people. I believe Roger Penske has more money than Rick Hendrick anyway. However, I think there is a real simple solution to the COT problems and JJ's domination of the Chase - NASCAR should just hire Chad K. and give him a long-term contract to run the NASCAR R&D operation.

I find it amazing that Dale Jarrett would make a comment that NASCAR should not change the Chase for the Sprint Cup because of one person dominating the format. Isn't the reason the format was originally changed for the 2004 season because someone was dominating the old format. I just don't like how JJ never leads the regular season but seems to win the championship, same with when Kurt Busch won the title in 2004 he never led the regular season so to speak. There needs to be some sort of a 50 or 75 point advantage for the regular season leader to make the regular season worth while.

Jimmy and Chad are great together but I feel Hendrick motorsports has way too much money to outspend the competition. Maybe they should try Formula 1 racing. They have too many teams and satellite teams that total almost 1/4 of the field. That means endless feedback. It's gotten so predictable that after 30 years, I can hardly watch anymore.
